
My focus is on assisting businesses with entity formation and planning, business transactions, Washington State and federal business taxation planning, contract matters, creditors’ rights, and business sales and purchases. I also advise tax-exempt nonprofit organizations regarding formation, tax compliance, and operating issues.
My prior eight-year career as a commercial banker with a large Philadelphia bank allows me unique insight in his law practice, as I worked with a variety of entrepreneurs, industries, and transaction structures prior to practicing law.
I have worked with larger law firms in Washington and Oregon for over 20 years.
I am a good communicator with a calm demeanor, I enjoy complex challenges that require a mix of analytic and people skills. Professional highlights include helping clients acquire or start up businesses which, through advice and planning, grow to be successful. Michael’s personal highlights include years of coaching my kids’ basketball teams while, “improbably,” never being assessed a technical foul.
