I have experience in forming nonprofit organizations, restructuring such organizations, obtaining tax exempt status and navigating tax restrictions and requirements. We have served on the board of directors of a variety of nonprofit organizations.

Determining whether forming a nonprofit organization is possible and beneficial.
Preparing and explaining the governing documents such as Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
Preparing the main application (e.g. IRS Form 1023) to achieve tax-exempt status.
Drafting board and committee resolutions to authorize activities.
Assisting with selection of a board of directors that will best serve the mission of your nonprofit.
Analyzing risk management considerations such as fiduciary duties of board members and officers and insurance needs.
